(4) Does the patient display odd thinking and speech (eg, vague, circumstantial, metaphorical, overelaborate, or stereotyped)? |

(5) Does the patient have suspiciousness or paranoid ideation? |

(6) Does the patient have an inappropriate or constricted affect? |

(7) Does the patient have behavior or appearance that is odd, eccentric, or peculiar? |

(8) Does the patient have lack of close friends or confidants other than first-degree relatives? |

(9) Does the patient have excessive social anxiety that does not diminish with familiarity and tends to be associated with paranoid fears rather than negative judgments about self? |

Does the patient display a pattern of discomfort with, and reduced capacity for, close relationships and five (or more) of the above? |
