Early Stage (Stages I and II) with B Symptoms

Patients with B symptoms have a poorer outcome when treated with radiation therapy alone, particularly patients with stage IIB disease. Up to 50% of patients with stage IIB disease treated with radiation therapy alone relapse. Combination chemotherapy, either alone or with radiation therapy, is the preferred treatment approach to these patients.
