Patients with Massive Mediastinal Enlargement
Most patients with large mediastinal masses have clinical early-stage disease. There is no requirement to perform a laparotomy on patients with massive mediastinal enlargement. Patients with massive mediastinal enlargement are clinically staged and treated with six cycles of ABVD chemotherapy followed by mantle-field radiation therapy.
