Stages III and IV A or B disease
From 2 to 4% percent of patients have primary progressive Hodgkin's disease that grows through chemotherapy treatment. These patients have a very poor prognosis, but 10 to 20% may be curable with immediate application of high-dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell support.
