Dog Bites. Dog bites account for 80-90% of animal bites. Lacerations are seen in 31-45% of dog bites, puncture wounds in 13-34%, animal bites, dog bites, cat bites, zoonoses, rabies and superficial abrasions in 30-43%. Only 15-20% of dog bite wounds become infected.
